The community always comes out of hibernation to help make the walk a success. Walkers, sponsors, people with MS and volunteers come together ... that's why I look forward to the walk every year.

If he doesn't pick me I'm not going to feel like I wasted my time coming. I look around the room and I do see people who are more deserving of the operation than myself.

We are so tired. It hasn't been because we're trying to be secretive or anything like that. We're tired. This has been a very, very overwhelming and tiring experience. My son is 13. He just wants to get back to a normal life.
